After the launch of Windows 8, the new Xbox dashboard (which looks more like Windows 8 than the Xbox interface already did, which is to say a bit) and SmartGlass, designed to allow these devices to talk profitably with each other and indeed with Windows Phone 8 devices, the launch of Windows Phone 8 on Monday was the next shoe to drop.
